(Winter Field, Platinum Palladium Print)
PRESS RELEASE
DESCRIPTION:
David Burbach works exclusively in platinum/palladium photography. Burbach creates images that are remarkably subtle and detailed with a tonal range that is unsurpassed. Platinum/palladium was a popular method of making photographic prints at the turn of the 20th century. Platinum/palladium prints have a sensuous texture that is dramatically different from the glossy surface of gelatin silver prints. Today very few photographers chose an old process and those who do are considered “alternative” photographers. All of Burbach’s prints are made start-to-finish by hand in his darkroom.

David....This is a fabulous piece. My second favorite is the photo of downtown on a Winter morning. This is Patti's sis....Sharon
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot Sharon. I like the image. Think it looks better in person.
