Hi Candace With abstracts, I normally like to leave substantial information as to the nature of what I am photographing. In this case I was reluctant to give any clues for fear of taking away from your enjoyment of all the wonderful shapes. In deference to your sanity I will tell you that it is a shadow created by leaves high enough overhead to give a soft focus to their edges. It as a beautiful and and idyllic setting, but this is what I was attracted to.
Hi, David. Sorry to be so literal, but I'm only human. Can't help being categorical. I had the feeling I was looking as shadows, the upper right corner looks like leaves. But I think there's a face and a few eyes in there, too. Thanks for an intriguing image. Also, TY for your comments on my blog. That image of teen-angst strikes a chord with a lot of viewers.
